JOB SUMMARY
The IT Supervisor manages and supports the technology infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations and quick resolution of issues. He/she involves overseeing a team of IT staff, coordinating technology-related projects, and providing technical support for various departments within the organization. IT Supervisor is also responsible to manage and maintain the computer network systems, Internet, camera security, email, hardware, software of company and optimal performance of all IT systems as well as maintaining standard speed of wifi is provided to all tenants in accordance with business objectives.
JOB DESCRIPTION
System & Network Maintenance:
- Ensure the continuous and efficient operation of network, servers, and computer systems.
- Monitor network security and performance, implementing enhancements as necessary.
- Conduct regular backup operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Monitoring the network to ensure its availability to all system users.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to escalated IT support requests and troubleshoot issues with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues beyond in-house capabilities.
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and oversee IT infrastructure projects, such as network upgrades, hardware installations, and software deployments (when necessary)
- Assess system needs and recommend infrastructure improvements aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring all licenses are up-to-date.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security protocols, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Manage user access and security controls, conducting audits to prevent unauthorized access.
- Keep up with cybersecurity trends, recommending and implementing security measures as needed.
- Monitoring camera security to ensure its availability and optimal coverage of necessary locations.
- Planning, scheduling, and performing proactive maintenance and reconfiguration of IT systems including software upgrades.
- Managing company’s user accounts by maintaining up-to-date email addresses, and high confidential of user account passwords (social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, software subscription), and produce monthly reports without fail.
- Conducting quarterly check on employee’s laptops, desktops, and cloud storage to ensure staff utilize office 365 suites, store their files properly on cloud storage to prevent losses, and to ensure staff using the correct, and assigned IT’s asset/tools to perform their work aligned with company policies.
Server Maintenance, general maintenance and Support:
- Managing server room to make sure all the cables are properly labelled, organized, and perform risk management strategy to minimize downtime.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting the LAN, WAN, email, and Internet systems.
- Defragmenter, Virus Scanning, Backup, Update the list of email with all computer users, and provide general check of printers and photocopier machine and arrange for cartridge ink refill.
- Conducting monthly check on phone line (land line), printer, fingerprint machine or other IT’s accessory required to perform daily work to ensure they are functioning without error and suggest plan to reduce downtime.
- Managing/monitoring company’s website and domain daily to ensure they are functioning smoothly without error, and the information published is accurate and up-to-date, and report immediately to direct up-line if there are any errors.
- Ensuring company accounts/users such as employee access card, elevator card, and company telegram and identify whether they are still in-use and remove/unidentified device unauthorized personnel.
Training and Development:
- Support onboarding of new employees by providing training in IT Policy, including the implementation of E-filing policy and file storage policy.
- Ensure all users/employees are well briefed of Office 365 Suites, IT Policy, including the implementation of E-filing policy and file storage policy. Provide quarterly refresh training as scheduled and/or when necessary.
- Supervise and support IT Officer on daily technical support’s activities and technique.
- Providing end-user technical support and training to all employees.
Financial/Budget:
- Manage budget and expenses of IT department.
- Prepare request for payment of IT maintenance and other IT spare part etc….
Inventory Management:
- Manage lifecycle of stock of all IT’ s assets/hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile phones, CCTV etc….
- Control security of all IT products.
- Maintain a proper IT assets record and send the reports to Management on a monthly basis.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Liaise with external vendors for hardware and software purchases, service contracts, and technical support.
- Work closely with other departments to understand and address their IT needs effectively.
- Negotiate contracts with service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable IT services.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Knowledge:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information technology.
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, with supervisory or team lead experience.
- Knowledge: Network equipment installation, configuration, windows Servers, Ms-Access and SQL Server Database, PHP, Java, TCP/IP networking and familiar knowledge of VB/Visual Studio.NET Framework included VB.NET/C# Languages, configuring email account, VPN (Server & Client), Remote camera security, (WAN & LAN) and troubleshooting.
- Good command of Microsoft Office 365 tools (required).
- Certifications: Certifications like CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are advantageous.
Skills & Abilities:
- Language: Good command in English, Khmer (Mother Tongue)
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office 365 and Fixing computer & printer hardware or other IT related products.
- Other: Be able to set up printer, print server, UPS battery and refile toner laser, ink printer and fax.
- Ability to Install, configure all types of access points and other Cisco IT products.
- Strong technical skills in network management, server maintenance, and IT support tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
- Others: Full-time, may include after-hours or weekend support in case of critical IT issues.
- Able to work independently.
